Content Producer – KSTS Telemundo 48 (San Jose, CA)
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, and skilled multiplatform content producer to join our award‑winning team at KSTS Telemundo 48.
The content producer will create original news content in Spanish for broadcast and digital platforms, working closely with producers, assignment editors, reporters, and anchors on all station platforms, including linear and FAST digital channels. Salary: $70,000 – $105,000 per year.
Work location: San Jose, CA. Responsibilities
Write, edit, produce and gather content under tight deadline pressure, ensuring accuracy and integrity for broadcast and digital formats. Engage with the local community and represent viewers in the Bay Area, Sacramento and Central California markets. Act aggressively in breaking news situations and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Understand and support the station’s mission and priorities. Stay current on news and graphic tools to produce visually compelling stories. Conceptualize, write and edit stories in multiple formats. Ensure accurate spelling in graphics and banners. Identify available material that can be used in the newscast, informing content producers. Collaborate with a diverse team—including digital producers, anchors and reporters—to deliver cohesive, high‑quality content. Use insights from local events to create content that resonates with a bilingual audience. Qualifications – Basic Requirements
Experience in broadcast television production. Strong news editorial judgment. English/Spanish bilingualism – both written and verbal. Impeccable writing skills. Experience with social and digital platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) to expand viewership. Ability to develop social and digital content. Proven ability to work quickly under tight deadlines in a live TV environment. Knowledge of nonlinear editing systems and workflows. Strong computer skills and basic understanding of multimedia file formats. Invested and engaged in the local community with authentic representation of local viewers. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Strong ability to deliver news as it develops on all current and future platforms. Eligibility Requirements
