UX Researcher About the Role
The Experience Design Research Team at LPL Financial is seeking a UX Researcher to join our team. This individual will work with product managers, XD designers, and other researchers on the team to bring innovative solutions to the hands of our advisors. Responsibilities
Develop research plans, workflows, user task analysis, personas, journey/experience maps, process flows, and service blueprints. Lead user research through every stage of the product lifecycle: planning and running usability studies, analyzing data, conducting heuristic evaluations, facilitating and moderating workshops, and performing low to high fidelity usability tests. Present findings to cross‑functional teams and negotiate trade‑offs between business goals, technical challenges, and customer experience. Coordinate and take direction from the lead researcher to the assigned area of focus. Qualifications
3+ years of user experience research experience. Service blueprinting or process blueprinting experience. Experience with qualitative research methods. Financial services experience (trust experience) is a nice to have. Skilled in moderated interviews, unmoderated usability tests, surveys (Qualtrics), and other foundational UX research methods. Manage end-to-end participant engagement—including scheduling, communication, and logistics—to align with research timelines and learning goals. Advanced Excel skills for analysis and representation via pivot tables and charts. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience related to user experience research & analysis, ideally in complex or regulated industries. ≥ 2 years working on a project team and meeting project timelines while managing competing priorities. Proven ability to navigate and manage complex, high‑stakes business relationships with discretion and professionalism. Core Competencies
Communicates research insights in a clear, compelling, and actionable manner. Strong strategic thinking and tactical execution. Excellent collaborative skills working with multi-disciplinary teams. Able to hit the ground running, with discernment to pause and ask the right questions to ensure strategic alignment. Preferences
Experience with User Testing, Jira, Confluence, and Figma. Experience working in agile / pod structure. Familiarity with financial services. Experience cultivating strong cross‑functional partnerships by aligning research objectives with business priorities. Pay & Benefits
