The Product Manager – HVAC-R will support the development and expansion of products that address critical customer needs. This role will focus on new product development, bringing the voice of the customer and market requirements to the stage-gate process and championing customer insights to develop outstanding products. Lead new product development of assigned products within the HVAC-R market,
Own generation of Voice of Customer (VOC) insights for new products and positioning updates,
Analyze market problems, product solutions, and how customers gain value from business offerings,
Shape/champion new segments and directions by synthesizing & analyzing VOC insights to understand strategic directions of technology and future customer needs,
Evaluate potential new business opportunities and formulate recommendations based on known risks and rewards by analyzing market strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT),
Lead the cross-functional HVAC-R market team throughout the stage-gate development process,
Execute consistently on plan targets using metrics to monitor and adjust based on performance against those metrics,
Serve as the global knowledge source for standard methodology sharing, competitive information, product performance specifications, and driven positioning relative to HVAC-R market needs.
Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Executive Leadership.
Education: BS in Engineering, MBA (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of product management experience (or sales/marketing equivalent) with B2B mechanical industrial products; experience or working knowledge of leak/pressure testing, HVAC systems, hydraulics, pneumatics or related tools or industries preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and communication skills as well as analytical, project management, and planning skills.
• Flexible, curious, and tenacious with a can-do positive approach.
• Ability to build long term relationships by providing superior customer service.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time, including internationally, is required.
