Second Shift Material Expeditor
Simon & Schuster is currently seeking a second shift material expediter to join our distribution center in Riverside, NJ. This position will support the full case department. Duties: Release stock as work flow demands Order and release stock for the split case locations Control work flow to the department equipment operators Adjust inventory when required Clear TMP location report Utilize WMS for work flow Support other areas of warehouse when and where needed Operate equipment (Order Selector/Drexel) as needed Maintain and track equipment checklists and sign out sheet Filing and organizing essential paperwork Follow and support all safety procedures and policies Other duties as assigned Requirements: High school diploma, preferred Ability to lift 50 lbs Must have prior forklift experience and able to drive either a Pacer, Reach, Drexel, Turret, Long John, or Low Rider Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills PC skills
WMS Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of employees and management Must possess ability to learn/use warehouse systems (WM) Must be able to work in a stressful environment Work OT when required Scheduled work hours: Monday through Friday 1:00 PM
