This position will be responsible for the leadership and management of all functions of the Hotel’s Sales and Marketing operations, including direct sales, sales solicitation, sales administration, and public relations, in accordance with Hotel’s standards.
Essential Functions

- Carries out personnel-related duties including interviewing, appraising, coaching, and counseling.
- Develops promotional opportunities to maximize sales revenue through all distribution channels.
- Develop and maintain department budget.
- Timely submission of required reports to General Manager.
- Develop sales action plans and forecast and evaluate trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues.
- Collaborate with fellow revenue responsible team members to lead divergent strategic tactics that drive profitable results.
- Reviews the STAR report, and other resources to maintain an awareness of the hotel’s market position.
- Facilitate and maintain open lines of communication between employees, management, and guests.
- Understand the agendas and perspective of others to establish mutually beneficial objectives.
- Develop a full working knowledge of the operations and policies of the hotel including Sales Food and Beverage, Front Office, and Reservations.
- Complete coordination of the Sales group functions; accurate and timely preparation of detailed Sales Contracts and Group Resumes as necessary to ensure a common quality understanding of what the client is to receive in terms of products and services.
- Design plans and materials for promotions and public relations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to manage and delegate the sales team
- High level of understanding of the market.
- Good leadership skills and ability to motivate the sales team.
- Ability to accept criticism and opportunities gracefully and humbly for growth.
- Outstanding negotiation skills.
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
Work environment
- Standing, walking, bending, stretching, twist, or lifting as much as 25lbs. throughout your shift.
- Sitting for long periods at the computer.
- On Site Required.
Required education and experience
- 3 years’ experience in hotel sales and marketing management.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related area of study.
- Experience with Hilton systems preferred.
