Role Senior Community Manager
Location Toronto, ON
Duration 12‑Month Contract
About the role We are seeking a hands‑on, experienced and strategically‑mindful community manager/social media manager to build engaged communities for major brands. Responsibilities include guiding social strategy, creating video content, turning cultural moments into shareable creative, and presenting key insights to brand teams. The role involves collaborating closely with creative teams in a fast‑moving environment and presenting work to clients and internal teams.
What you will be doing
Use social listening tools to report on a number of key brands.
Create creative briefs based on content performance, brand needs, audience and cultural insights.
Ideate and create social content in collaboration with the creative team.
Confidently present monthly and quarterly reports to clients, and serve as the point of contact for data or social media listening inquiries.
Create and provide ad hoc reports surrounding key initiatives or competitors.
Entertain fans with creative community management.
Research, create, and share POVs on updates to the ever‑changing social media landscape and cultural shifts or trends.
Monitor brand reputation issues and create crisis reports for senior leadership.
What you need to be great in this role
4‑6 years of experience in community management or a social media management role.
Experience with data visualization, social listening, and social media analytics tools such as BrandWatch, TalkWater, UnMetric, Khoros, or similar.
Advanced experience with Excel, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint.
Agency experience is a must.
Ability to create impactful, data‑driven reports with strategic thinking, narrative, insights and recommendations.
Experience conducting consumer insights research.
Comfortable presenting high‑energy reports both internally and externally.
Comfortable balancing multiple workstreams, including reporting deadlines, brief creation and reactive content opportunities.
Proactive with a track record of an entrepreneurial approach.
At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from CAD $85,000.00 to CAD $95,000.00. Individual compensation varies based on job‑related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
