Overview
CalAmp is seeking an
Associate Product Marketing Manager
to craft and execute messaging, content, and go-to-market programs for our IoT hardware and telematics solutions. This high-impact role serves as the dedicated content engine for CalAmp’s telematics solutions toolkit, producing customer-facing assets, trade publication content, and analyst relations materials that reinforce CalAmp’s leadership in providing hardware and services to solution providers, global enterprises, OEMs, and channel partners. Working closely with Product Management, Sales, and the broader Marketing team, you will own messaging across the buyer journey from awareness through loyalty, ensuring that CalAmp’s highly programmable and adaptable portfolio is clearly differentiated in the market. This position offers end-to-end ownership of content production across campaigns, websites, webinars, videos, ebooks, case studies, and sales collateral to influence pipeline growth and market visibility. You will also act as a key liaison with industry analysts, trade media, and partnered marketing teams, evangelizing the unique value of CalAmp’s hardware, microservices, and related solutions in enabling capability for smarter, safer, and more efficient connected operations.
Location: Hybrid in Carlsbad, CA.
Responsibilities
Develop clear and differentiated product positioning, value propositions, and messaging for CalAmp’s Edge Devices and Telematics Solutions portfolio.
Produce a steady stream of high-quality content including datasheets, whitepapers, case studies, pitch decks, product videos, solution briefs, and infographics.
Own and maintain website content for edge devices, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and SEO alignment.
Support go-to-market strategy and product launches in partnership with Product, Sales, Channel Partners, and broader Marketing team.
Contribute to sales and partner enablement materials including battlecards, competitor briefs, solution playbooks, and vertical-specific messaging.
Partner with Demand Generation on campaign messaging to drive engagement across awareness, interest, and evaluation stages of the funnel.
Coordinate analyst and trade publication engagement, supporting bylined content and insights.
Support delivery of sales and partner training sessions and ongoing content updates to equip internal and external teams with current product knowledge and tools.
Build strong cross-functional alignment with Sales, Demand Gen, Channel Partners, and Customer Success to ensure consistent and impactful market communication.
Represent CalAmp’s innovation through webinars, thought leadership pieces, and conference materials.
Qualifications – Must Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in content-focused B2B marketing or product-related roles.
Demonstrated success creating high-quality content across multiple formats: whitepapers, videos, webinars, ebooks, guides, case studies, and sales collateral.
Polished written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts into customer-focused storytelling.
Experience with go-to-market planning, competitive analysis, and sales & channel enablement.
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proven cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Product, and external stakeholders.
Strong Pluses
MBA or advanced marketing certifications.
Familiarity with IoT, telematics, firmware, edge/cloud computing, or B2B hardware/software environments.
Experience supporting channel marketing programs or partner communications.
Experience in analyst and media relations with published bylines or trade commentary.
Global marketing experience supporting diverse verticals and geographies.
Comfort with multimedia content development such as video scripting, webinar hosting, or infographics.
Compensation Market Minimum: USD $68,813.00/Yr.
Market Maximum: USD $117,966.00/Yr.
