We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our architectural and design firm as a Design Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the smooth operation of the design department by supporting administrative tasks, coordinating workflows, managing resources, and ensuring timely task delivery. This position is essential in keeping the design processes efficient and ensuring the team has the support needed to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
Following is an outline of the specialized roles that the Design Associate may be assigned to.
Architectural Drafter Work under the supervision of Design Leads based in California, assisting in creating high-quality, innovative, and functional residential designs. This position is open to individuals early in their architectural career looking to develop their skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Design Development: Assist in the creation of detailed construction documents using CAD & Revit for various California projects. Proficient understanding of MEP, Structural and Civil Engineering plans and their impacts on architectural design.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with Design Leads, Engineers, and other consultants to ensure seamless integration of all project components.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and stakeholders, ensuring all project requirements and deadlines are met.
Quality Control: Ensure all designs comply with California building codes, City/County Zoning laws, and industry standards.
Documentation: Prepare and organize project documentation, including project history, coordination, project delivery schedule, and reports.
Client Interaction: Participate in virtual team meetings, presentations, and reviews to discuss project progress and incorporate feedback.
Building Permit: Prepare complete submission package and secure Building Permits through online application on various jurisdictions in California.
Project Client Manager / Coordinator Serve as the primary point of contact for external clients in our real estate company. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless communication, coordination, and project execution between clients and our in-house design firm specializing in residential homes.
Act as the main liaison between external clients and the in-house design team, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
Gather client requirements, preferences, and expectations, translating them into actionable tasks for the design and project teams.
Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction.
Coordinate design presentations, revisions, and approvals with clients and internal stakeholders.
Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly, providing solutions and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and project management teams to enhance the client experience and streamline processes.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices in residential home design.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and client communications.
Architect - Visualization & Graphic Design Specialist A creative and detail-oriented individual to help enhance the visual representation of residential projects for our real estate company. This role will be responsible for creating compelling architectural visualizations, renderings, and graphic design materials that effectively communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
Develop high-quality architectural renderings, 3D models, and visual presentations for residential projects.
Create compelling graphic design materials, including marketing collateral, brochures, and presentations.
Collaborate closely with the in-house design team to ensure visual materials align with design intent and client expectations.
Utilize industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, or other visualization tools.
Assist in the preparation of client presentations and project proposals with engaging visuals and concept storytelling.
Ensure consistency in branding and visual style across all design-related materials.
Stay up to date with emerging visualization trends and tools to continuously improve design output.
Coordinate with marketing and project teams to refine presentation techniques and enhance client engagement.
Architect – Interior Design Documentation Specialist Involved in the preparation of interior design construction documents and post-permit supplemental details for residential projects. This role will involve translating design concepts into precise technical drawings and ensuring compliance with industry standards and permitting requirements.
Develop and refine detailed construction documents for interior design projects, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
Coordinate and integrate structural, MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing), and architectural elements into construction documentation.
Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards in all drafted plans.
Prepare post-permit supplemental drawings, revisions, and addendums as required to address design modifications or construction issues.
Collaborate closely with interior designers, architects, contractors, and project managers to maintain accuracy and efficiency in project documentation.
Utilize industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other drafting tools to produce high-quality technical drawings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Architecture
3 years minimum experience in the Architecture / Construction Industry. Previous US experience is preferred but not required.
Strong proficiency in Revit is required. Knowledge of other design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating a proactive and responsible approach to work.
Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
