The Principal Designer, User Experience position is located in Frisco, TX and will lead a team of designers across multiple projects and technologies in the TfB SteelThread Salesforce program, T‑Mobile for Business eCommerce Website/AHUB base customer application, and the T‑Life TfB App solutioning effort.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in the planning and strategy team for ongoing and future projects.
- Work with multiple Senior Managers outside our organization in quarterly planning to help define the budget based on the scope and deliverables necessary for the correct customer experiences.
- Present solutions to leaders in the organization and lead stakeholder workshops to gather requirements and to triage and balance priorities on features and capabilities in pre‑planning.
- Manage and review the solutions and quality of team designs and experience before presenting to leadership.
- Evaluate solution based on analytics, plan‑ograms and shapes research to get to the core of lower performing numbers.
- Perform A/B testing and continuously monitor the performance with tools like SimilarWeb to compare solutions to how it is performing in the market.
- Identify potential issues in accessibility of designs and work to correct them whether it resides on the UX or development side.
- Mentor other designers in the team, keeping up with the design industry evolution including best practices, new trends and technologies.
- Work with Information Technology, TFB Innovation & Experience, Digital Business Management, Emerging Tech, and Marketing to engage in planning larger programs involving new technologies for Business eCommerce Website, AHUB base customer application, TfB Single Pane of Glass Platform, SteelThread/Salesforce, and the T‑Life TFB App being introduced to the marketplace.
- Establish, evolve, and evangelize design strategy across the company.
- Produce sketches, workflow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, design guidelines and style guides.
- Teams up with User Researchers and other Designers to maintain consistency across the digital ecosystem and solve cross‑application design challenges.
- Demonstrate ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Provide feedback and direction to ensure intuitive and innovative solutions and drive consistency following established design principles, guidelines, and patterns.
- Collaborate internally and externally to continuously evolve team process and design practice.
- Create an environment that fosters internal and cross‑team collaboration.
- Design core IoT connectivity and cloud platform products for B2B / enterprise customers.
Experience and education requirements:
Primary requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Digital Media, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
Alternative requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Digital Media, or related, and 7 years of progressive, post‑Bachelor’s relevant work experience.
Skills requirements: Requires experience in each of the following skills:
- Mapping end‑to‑end customer journeys for onboarding, Presales, sales, Contracts, billing, and care for both Core and Non‑core Wireless customers, including identifying key touchpoints and visualizing telecom‑specific experiences by using tools: Figma, FigJam, Lucidchart, Arrow Design System, Salesforce Lightning Design System, Excel, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strategic design by leading cross‑functional teams to define user‑centric problem statements, ideate innovation solutions, and prioritize telecom painpoints for registration, onboarding, Presales, sales, Contracts, billing, care, add a line, upgrade a line, and trade‑in using Lucid Chart, Jira and FigJam.
- Crafting high‑fidelity prototypes and intuitive UX flows for telecom apps to address real‑time billing or network status visualization for the platforms by validating UX metrics and user feedback and prototyping SLDS‑compliant UX flows with Figma for accessible, personalized experiences tested via Optimizely.
- Applying telecom‑specific knowledge on wireless and solutions (Business Internet, T‑Priority, Connected Laptop, Business Internet, 5G ANS [Public, Hybrid, Private Networking], Multi Access Edge Computing, Connected Workplace, SASE‑Security solutions and Dialpad) using Jira, Tableau, and Figjam or Lucid chart.
- Leading design within Agile frameworks, collaborating with cross‑functional teams using Jira, Confluence and Figma to iterate rapidly, prioritize user stories, and deliver telecom‑specific UX solutions in sprints.
- Mentoring and training newly‑joined designers, fostering IA & UX expertise through workshops, design critiques, hands‑on guidance, and providing the domain knowledge including the Wireless and solutions.

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. Actual pay will be based on work location, qualifications, and experience.
