Creative Product Designer
The Creative Product Designer will have a creative background who excels in rendering and basic CAD design using tools like SketchUp. The candidate should be a creative thinker with a strong understanding of millwork, finishes, and interior design. They should be skilled in producing photorealistic renderings, with a keen eye for detail and lighting. The Creative Product Designer should have experience in product development, prototyping, and 3D printing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (include but are not limited to)
- Create photorealistic renderings using tools like KeyShot, Enscape, Unreal Engine, or similar
- Develop basic CAD models and technical drawings using SketchUp, Fusion 360, Inventor, or SolidWorks
- Collaborate with engineering and millwork teams to ensure designs are manufacturable
- Contribute to the digital product catalog with visual assets, specs, and pricing data
- Support product development through prototyping and 3D printing
- Maintain and expand the product library, ensuring collaborative access and cloud backup
- Assist install teams with assembly instructions and visual guides
- Present concepts to customers and internal stakeholders
- Stay current with AI-based design tools and emerging visualization technologies
- Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) for presentations and visual storytelling
REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES (include but are not limited to)
- Associate of bachelor's degree in one of the following: Industrial Design, Interior Design, Product Design or Visual Arts
- 2–5 years in creative design, product visualization, or interior design
- Strong portfolio showcasing rendered concepts, CAD work, and design documentation
- Experience in prototyping, 3D printing, and millwork detailing
- Familiarity with space planning, lighting, and material finishes
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Additional Experience in 3D CAD Software, or digital prototyping are a plus
- Furniture and millwork design
- Interior retail environments
- Digital catalog creation
- Collaborative design workflows
- Customer-facing concept presentations
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- General office setting
- Minor exposure to the sounds of a variety of shop machinery (saws, etc.)
To be considered for this role, candidates must submit a portfolio showcasing their creative design work in product visualization, rendering, and CAD modeling—preferably within furniture, millwork, or interior design domains. The portfolio should highlight:
- Photorealistic renderings
- Conceptual design work
- Lighting and material detailing
- CAD models and technical drawings
- Any relevant prototyping or 3D printing projects
