About the Team

Zillow Media Experts is a team that empowers real‑estate professionals by delivering innovative, media‑rich marketing assets. As a field photographer, you’ll travel between job sites, capture all media, and upload it for quick distribution.

About the Role

This is a part‑time position based in Austin, TX. Photographers typically work 10–20 hours per week, with occasional demand for more hours. Opportunities for full‑time employment may arise.

Responsibilities

• Capture still photography, listing videos, 3D or 360° virtual tours, drones (when required), and social media clips for sale or rent properties.
• Use advanced photography techniques and equipment to highlight each property’s unique features.
• Coordinate with on‑site clients to understand their media needs and expectations.
• Guide clients and property owners during sessions to maximize visual impact.
• Create rich media experiences using proprietary technology.
• Ensure photographs align with brand guidelines and accurately represent properties.
• Maintain and manage photography equipment (cameras, lenses, accessories).
• Organize and upload captured media for post‑processing while meeting deadlines.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices to continually improve skills.
• Develop creative concepts to showcase each property’s selling points.
• Collaborate with Regional Managers, Market Leaders, other photographers, real‑estate agents, and marketing professionals.
• Adapt to changing media products and processes.
• Represent Zillow Media Experts professionally at all times.

Who You Are

• An experienced photographer, preferably in real‑estate.
• Excellent customer‑service and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented and efficient, maintaining high quality standards.
• Punctual, showing up on time and meeting deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently.

Requirements

• Learn Zillow Media Expert processes and computer systems.
• Experience capturing high‑quality real‑estate photos, videos, 3D tours, and drone media.
• Deep understanding of DSLR/Mirrorless fundamentals.
• Must obtain FAA Part 107 drone license if needed for business use.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Capable of driving within a 60+ mile radius of city center.
• Minimum 20 hours per week of availability.
• Internet upload speed of at least 15 Mbps preferred.
• Located near Austin, TX.

Required Equipment

• Professional full‑frame or crop‑sensor DSLR/mirrorless camera that supports 5‑shot bracketing (e.g., Canon R7, R5, 6D‑mkII, 5D‑mkIV).
• Wide‑angle lens (e.g., Full‑frame 15‑35 mm, Crop 10‑22 mm).
• Ball head or geared tripod (video fluid head tripods not acceptable).
