Zillow Media Experts is seeking experienced photographers for part‑time real estate media work in Portland, OR. By working with us you’ll be at the forefront of Real Estate media innovation, capturing media that consumers want to see when shopping for a home.
About The Role
This is a part‑time position in Portland, OR. Photographers will typically work 10-20 hours per week, depending on location and business needs. During periods of high demand, you may be asked to work more than 20 hours per week. While this is a part‑time position, there may be opportunities for full‑time employment in the future.
This role is categorized as a Field position: employees perform most of their work in a specified geographic location. Employees are expected to live within a reasonable commuting distance to their region.
In certain states the base pay range for this role is $24.10–$38.50 hourly (California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, Washington DC); different ranges apply in other states.
Responsibilities
- Capture industry‑leading still photography, listing videos, 3D or 360° virtual tours, drone photography & videos (when required), and social media videos for properties.
- Utilize advanced photography techniques and equipment to showcase unique features and aesthetics of each property.
- Coordinate and interact with clients on‑site to understand their photography needs.
- Guide clients and property owners during sessions to achieve desired results.
- Use proprietary technology to create captivating rich media experiences.
- Ensure all photographs adhere to brand guidelines and represent properties accurately.
- Manage and maintain photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, and accessories.
- Organize and upload captured media for post‑processing, meeting deadlines and appointment punctuality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve skills.
- Develop creative concepts for photography to showcase each property's unique selling points.
- Collaborate with team members and external partners to deliver cohesive visual assets for marketing campaigns.
- Adapt to future media, product, service, capture, or processing changes.
- Represent Zillow Media Experts professionally.
Qualifications
- The ability to learn Zillow Media Expert’s processes and computer systems.
- Experience capturing high‑quality photography and real‑estate videos, 3D tours, and drone media.
- Deep understanding of photography fundamentals using DSLR/Mirrorless systems.
- May be expected to obtain an FAA Part 107 drone license, complete drone training, and operate a drone safely.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation that can travel within a 60+ mile radius of City Center.
- Availability of at least 20 hours per week.
- Internet upload speed of at least 15 Mbps preferred.
- Located near Portland, OR.
Required Equipment
- A professional full‑frame or crop‑sensor DSLR/mirrorless camera capable of shooting 5 brackets, auto exposure bracketing ‘AEB’ (e.g., Canon R7, R5, 6DmkII, 5DmkIV).
- Wide‑angle lens (Full‑frame 15‑35mm, Crop 10‑22mm).
- Ball head or geared head tripod (video fluid head tripods are not acceptable).
