Position Summary The
Marketing & Engagement Coordinator
supports marketing, communications and community engagement efforts across the organization. The Coordinator assists with creation and updating of collateral materials, PowerPoint presentations, social media, website maintenance, advertising, policies, and documentation. The Coordinator schedules, tracks, attends and reports on community events, including fairs, festivals, presentations and trainings. The Coordinator updates, tracks and facilitates the distribution of marketing materials and items while communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Organize, track and coordinate community events on behalf of Crisis Connections.
Communicate with external and internal audiences, respond to inquiries and schedule logistics necessary for event attendance.
Recruit staff or volunteers to attend each event, coordinate materials, track post‑event results and manage all event logistics.
Oversee outreach materials, swag and tabling items and coordinate staff to ensure materials are organized, replenished and accessible for the entire organization.
Attend and assist with the execution of events as needed, ensuring proper tracking, smooth operations, accuracy and excellent communication with stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver materials for community events across King County and neighboring areas such as Pierce County and Everett (approximately 80% in King County).
Assist with the implementation of a Community Ambassador program, including documenting roles & responsibilities, job descriptions, program coordination, communication, training, scheduling, tracking and support of Ambassadors.
Support the Director of Marketing & Engagement with external communications, graphic design, website maintenance, social media, content creation, scheduling and engagement strategy.
Support campaign performance tracking by analyzing and reporting on digital engagement, website traffic, SEO performance and outreach effectiveness.
Respond to marketing emails and process requests for materials, ensuring communication, follow‑up, printing, shipping and tracking.
Support the creation of an annual calendar for all external communication.
Schedule meetings, attend and facilitate notes for marketing and community engagement meetings as needed.
Respond to correspondence from external clients, ensuring timely follow‑ups and answering questions with clarity and precision.
Serve as the primary point of contact for department marketing and community engagement purchases, expense reports, budgeting and actual tracking.
Update workflows, policies and procedures to contribute to process improvement.
Perform database entry, maintain documentation and ensure internal stakeholders are supported, trained and executing updates independently.
Qualifications and Experience
1+ years of experience in marketing, social media, community engagement or a related field (preferred, not required).
Professional experience posting on social media or creating content, and adhering to organizational policies, procedures and guidelines.
Demonstrated understanding and experience in graphic design and tabling at events.
Experience collaborating with community partners, internal teams and volunteers.
Knowledge of nonprofit, fundraising, mental health, crisis intervention or telephone helpline environments is a plus.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and collaboration tools such as Monday.com.
Experience with CRMs, email marketing platforms and basic data reporting.
Familiarity with social media scheduling tools, content management systems (CMS) and digital analytics.
Soft Skills & Attributes
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail.
Collaborative and adaptable, with experience working across teams and community groups.

Additional Requirements
Reliable personal transportation is required for attending events and community engagement activities. A Washington State driver’s license and insurance are preferred.
Basic computer skills assessment required (approx. 15 minutes, timed). Candidates may complete the assessment on a personal computer or at one of two office locations if requested.
Smartphone with an ability to download and use Multi‑factor Authentication (MFA) application.
High‑speed internet (wired Ethernet connection preferred). No cellular or hotspot usage. Quiet and confidential designated working area required.
Ability to sit or stand for lengthy periods. Ability to wear headset or earphones during calls and meetings. Ability to manage multiple IT/software platforms simultaneously and function in a moderately noisy environment.
Position will expose you to conversations about suicide, mental health issues and staff responding to crisis situations.
