Design Project Manager – Data Center Design – USA (any location). The role supports Arcadis’s American Places group across the United States, traveling up to 30% domestically.

Role description
We work with the world’s largest data center providers to deliver sustainable design solutions. The Design Project Manager oversees the entire design process for hyperscale data centers, from campus planning to construction drawings, coordinating external design teams, procurement, and change orders.
Role accountabilities
Facilitate client requirements for the design of hyperscale data centers throughout the United States.
Manage the design process from campus planning and basis of design through issuance of construction drawings, including coordination of procurement, issue, and administration of change orders.
Build relationships with internal and external teams to ensure quality work, clear communication, and timely progression.
Travel up to 30% of the time to project sites and client meetings.
Ensure project deliverables meet milestones and deadlines and are presented in the required format.
Qualifications & Experience
10+ years of project design experience with data center designs, or large complex construction projects such as hospitals, high‑rises, laboratories, manufacturing plants, or high‑power plants.
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams internally and externally and directly with final‑client teams.
Experience preparing project plans, technical specifications, implementation schedules, and coordinating internal and external teams.
Knowledge of Autodesk platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM‑engineered solutions.
BA in Architecture, Engineering, or related field; preferred licensure (PE, NCARB, RA).
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with evolving priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Benefits & Compensation
The salary range for this position is $80,461 – $132,761. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, EAP, 401(k), STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program, and optional wellbeing, adoption assistance, and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO per year.
