Design Project Manager – Data Center Design
Location: USA (remote based anywhere in the USA, with up to 30% travel within the United States)

Role description
When you think of data centers, think of Arcadis! We collaborate with some of the world’s largest data center providers and are growing our American Places group. This role focuses on managing the design process for hyperscale data centers throughout the United States, from campus planning to construction drawing issuance.
Responsibilities
Facilitate client requirements for the design of hyperscale data centers across the United States.
Manage the design process from campus planning/basis of design through issuance of construction drawings, including coordination of procurement, change orders, and engineering information for vendors and suppliers.
Build strong, positive relationships with internal and external multidisciplinary teams and the final client, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery of project milestones.
Travel to project sites and client meetings as needed (up to 30% of your schedule).
Ensure project deliverables meet required milestones, deadlines, and final client formatting specifications.
Qualifications & Experience
10+ years of project design experience with data center designs or large complex construction projects (e.g., hospitals, high‑rises, laboratories, manufacturing plants, high‑power plants).
Experience working with internal and external multidisciplinary teams and directly with final client teams.
Proficiency in preparing project plans, technical specifications, implementation schedules, and coordinating internal and external teams.
Fundamental knowledge of Autodesk Platforms: Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or Building Information Modelling (BIM) engineered solutions.
BA in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred licensure (PE, NCARB, RA) is strongly preferred.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects with evolving priorities in a dynamic, deadline‑driven environment.
Salary Range
$80,461 – $132,761 (dependent on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location)
