Senior Community Manager

Community Manager The Community Manager oversees all operations of a housing community under the supervision of a Regional Manager.
Responsibilities include managing personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administrative, and risk‑management functions while ensuring compliance with Asset’s policies, safety and fair‑housing guidelines, and liability requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Personnel Management – screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on‑site staff; complete weekly/daily schedules; address performance issues in collaboration with HR; promote a harmonious, high‑quality work environment.
Financial Management – achieve optimal net operating income through cost control and revenue/leasing improvement; develop annual operating budgets and forecasts; monitor rent collections, deposits, and vendor invoices; ensure accurate property closeouts and financial reporting.
Strategic Leasing Management – create yearly marketing plans; execute leasing techniques that secure closures and accurate documentation; respond promptly to resident complaints and implement retention programs.
Administrative & Maintenance Management – provide accurate reporting; lead emergency response; oversee maintenance staff; maintain property appearance with regular inspections and tours; manage resources, equipment, and supplies efficiently; direct construction and rehabilitation activities.
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree, four years of housing industry experience, or one‑to‑two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
Proficiency with on‑site software functions and basic computer skills.
Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
Regular communication with others; repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions; assessment of work accuracy; overtime, weekend, and night work for emergencies.
Stationary standing or sitting for prolonged periods; movement between work sites; use of ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and other equipment; lifting up to 25 lbs.; operation of machinery or power tools; work in varied environmental conditions.
License / Equipment
Reliable transportation required for on‑call emergency duties.
Compensation Salary Range: $100,000 – $110,000 per year.
