Subject: Position Vacancy – Program Associate to support the Bank Street Education Center (the Ed Center) in various portfolios.
Summary: Bank Street Education Center (the Ed Center), a division within Bank Street College of Education (the College) created to support the College's systems‑level, public impact work with school districts, is currently seeking a program associate to support project teams across the Ed Center's project portfolios. Key relationships: The Program & Creative Media Associate will report to the Executive Director, Early Childhood and work closely with their project teams.
Responsibilities
- Logistics & Operations: Collaborating with the Project Manager and Project Director to manage the administrative elements of regular meetings with stakeholders, scheduling, preparing agendas, handouts, Google Slides, and necessary materials, and following up from meetings as needed; creating, iterating on, and finalizing professional learning session materials; providing in‑person and online operations support; supporting graphic design and technological production; maintaining budget tracking across projects; drafting and executing consultant contracts; maintaining inventory; maintaining organizational systems.
- Creative Media & Design: Supporting the creation of newsletters and social media posts; designing visually engaging materials and learning assets; developing short instructional videos and motion graphics; editing and producing high‑quality video content (interviews, tutorials, testimonials, classroom examples); managing and organizing multimedia assets; collaborating with content design teams to translate complex educational concepts into clear visual narratives; codifying and repurposing existing materials across portfolios; supporting and developing Program Associates; designing presentation decks for the VP for use with funders, trustees, and other constituents.
- Project Coordination: Executing project timelines; providing communications updates and internal support for project team coherence; supporting data collection processes across projects (data entry, maintaining systems); performing related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree; background in education, nonprofit organizations, and/or secondary education development preferred.
- Strong ability to manage multiple workstreams, track timelines, coordinate logistics, and maintain clear systems across teams and projects.
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Canva and/or Adobe tools, and video editing software; ability to design visually engaging materials and multimedia content that align with brand standards.
- Experience working with diverse and/or historically deprioritized student populations.
- Strong communications skills (email, writing, in‑person).
- Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to perform independently, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated learner stance with willingness to receive and incorporate feedback and to learn new systems and skills.
- Ability to work both remotely and in an office environment; flexibility in an ambiguous, fast‑paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines; strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative.
- Ability to pick up and move up to 30 lbs; ability to travel throughout the Tri‑State area for in‑person sessions; ability to travel domestically for conferences.

Salary Range: $70,000–$75,000
