Overview
Factioned is a design/build firm focused on interior design, architectural scale manufacturing, industrial design, and private client artwork conceptualization and development. Our projects encompass complete environments, large scale feature installations, custom lighting elements, sculptures, mechanical products, custom furniture, and any number of client requests. We never shy away from a new design challenge.
Responsibilities
Intimate handling of CAD and design software to develop concepts and refine details.
Client interfacing from concept through final execution.
Project management, including quality control, scheduling, and meeting deadlines.
Coordinating with multiple vendors and subcontractors.
Problem solving and applying practical judgment across all project stages.
Qualifications & Experience
7–10 years post‑college experience in industrial design, design/build, and project management.
College degree in Industrial Design or a related specialty.
Proficiency in CAD programs: Fusion 360, Rhino, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and SketchUp.
Working knowledge of 3D printers and their applications.
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial and manufacturing processes, including hand and power tools.
Experience with a range of materials (woods, metals, acrylics) and finishing techniques.
Successful collaboration with subcontractors and fabrication partners.
Advanced hand sketching and visualization skills.
Attention to detail, persistence, and timely follow‑through.
Organized planner capable of quick iteration based on feedback, constraints, and testing.
Position is full‑time; the first three months are on a trial basis.
