Job Summary:
As a Pastry Artist, your primary focus is to delight our guests with exceptional service and high-quality cake decor that makes every occasion memorable. We are looking for a creative individual who can bring their artistic flair to our bakery department while maintaining Excellent Service standards. Key Responsibilities: Greet and engage guests as they enter the bakery area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Foster a positive and vibrant team spirit. Support the implementation of bakery division concepts and initiatives. Ensure a consistent supply of quality products to meet guest needs. Adhere to Bakery Food Safety Procedures and the Sanitation Schedule. Execute all cake decorating tasks with precision and creativity. Assist in training and developing team members through available resources. Safeguard and manage all bakery assets responsibly. Maintain high cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the work area. Follow approved recipes and procedures accurately. Consistently improve quality, skills, and productivity. Utilize departmental systems and processes efficiently. Complete special orders, including wedding cakes, in accordance with policy. Assist with cleaning and dishwashing tasks as required. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Key Requirements: Preferred one year of experience in cake decorating. Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Capable of performing physical tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and walking. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs. Comfortable working in a freezer for short periods. Basic math skills are necessary to fulfill decorating tasks. Open to constructive feedback regarding performance and behaviors. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Must hold a current food safety certification. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
