Job Summary:

As a Pastry Artist, your primary focus is to delight our guests with exceptional service and high-quality cake decor that makes every occasion memorable. We are looking for a creative individual who can bring their artistic flair to our bakery department while maintaining Excellent Service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and engage guests as they enter the bakery area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Foster a positive and vibrant team spirit.
• Support the implementation of bakery division concepts and initiatives.
• Ensure a consistent supply of quality products to meet guest needs.
• Adhere to Bakery Food Safety Procedures and the Sanitation Schedule.
• Execute all cake decorating tasks with precision and creativity.
• Assist in training and developing team members through available resources.
• Safeguard and manage all bakery assets responsibly.
• Maintain high cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the work area.
• Follow approved recipes and procedures accurately.
• Consistently improve quality, skills, and productivity.
• Utilize departmental systems and processes efficiently.
• Complete special orders, including wedding cakes, in accordance with policy.
• Assist with cleaning and dishwashing tasks as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Key Requirements:

• Preferred one year of experience in cake decorating.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of performing physical tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and walking.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a freezer for short periods.
• Basic math skills are necessary to fulfill decorating tasks.
• Open to constructive feedback regarding performance and behaviors.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must hold a current food safety certification.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
