Marketing Automation Specialist – Full Time, Exempt
Alliant International University’s Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing email and SMS marketing campaigns to drive academic program growth. The role reports to the Sr. Manager of Marketing Operations and collaborates with creative, partnership development, and enrollment teams to nurture candidates from prospect to alumni. The Specialist utilizes analytics and testing tools to assess campaign efficacy and implement optimizations to improve performance, and provides channel‑level strategic recommendations to campaign stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute end‑to‑end email marketing campaigns, from conceptualization to delivery and analysis.
Work with content and program marketing managers to craft compelling, brand‑aligned content that resonates with our audience.
Build and segment campaign audience lists, ensuring accurate targeting.
Collaborate with enrollment, business development, and other departments to maintain a cohesive, integrated approach to prospective student interactions.
Ensure all marketing operations activities comply with data privacy laws and industry best practices.
Conduct A/B tests, track campaign performance, and provide reports and data‑driven recommendations to senior management.
Monitor database health, improve email deliverability, and maintain a healthy sender reputation.
Stay current on industry trends and adopt innovative strategies in email marketing.
Perform other related tasks as assigned or directed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in a marketing‑focused role.
Minimum 2 years of experience directly working in an email marketing or marketing automation platform (Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Strong project management skills – manage timelines, prioritize impactful work, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Desired Skills
Self‑starter; highly motivated to take initiative and navigate projects independently.
Creative skills; craft engaging email content and copy that improves performance.
Technical proficiency in marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce).

Employment Details Starting Salary:
$68,000 annualized, Full‑Time, Exempt.
