Opening Baltimore has an immediate opening for a News Photographer Part‑Time.
Responsibilities Photographers are responsible for covering news stories and events by shooting incredible pictures, telling phenomenal stories through creative editing, and serving the on‑air and digital audiences with reliable and technically skilled live remotes.
Must Be Able To Safely & competently operate news gathering equipment including cameras, light kits, microphones, and tripods. Sony XD experience required; P2 and JVC experience is acceptable.
Edit content quickly and accurately in house or in the field. Edius is a definite plus; Premiere, Final Cut, and Avid expertise are all qualifying skills.
Proficiently use GoPro cameras and incorporate them into daily storytelling.
Be FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone certified (very big plus); we will invest in certification if not already certified.
Follow CBS and OSHA safety standards.
Required Skills Excellent technical and creative skills, especially in lighting interviews and live shots.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑stakes, tight‑deadline environment.
A self‑starter with competitive drive, excellent people and organizational skills, and strong work ethic.
Ability to lift, handle and work with at least 50 pounds of equipment.
Work assigned schedules may include early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Experience with Dejero, Live‑U, and/or TVU live operations is required.
ENG & SNG Live Truck experience preferred but not required.
Must have or be eligible to acquire a valid Maryland driver’s license.
