Overview
Senior UX Designer within the PayPal.com team. You will create rich and engaging interactive experiences for our customers globally. The ideal candidate can lead design experiences from concept to delivery and work collaboratively with content designers, UX design leads, product managers, and engineers to demonstrate how PayPal products benefit people around the world. Focus areas include usability, page narrative, high visual craft, prototyping, responsive design, data-informed decision making, and consistency with the PayPal Brand & Design System. Essential Responsibilities
Perform product designs specialized in experience design knowledge and developed business expertise Lead projects and/or programs within the product function with moderate scope impacting function or sub-function Create customer experiences across digital and physical products within general parameters under broad supervision May act as a subject matter resource for entry level and developing colleagues Expected Qualifications
3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience Additional Responsibilities and Preferred Qualifications
Lead bar raising strategic experiences to improve inspiration of our products and services on PayPal.com to improve sign up and use of our products Independently partner with cross-functional team members in the conceptualization and delivery of our customer-focused PayPal.com experience Deliver delightful experiences focusing on simplicity, ease of use, discoverability and comprehension, while meeting requirements and timelines Create new visual content (animations, GIFs, video) and work with development teams in a design systems mindset Demonstrate mastery in the full design process from data-driven insights and design workflow to engineering handoffs Contribute to the lifecycle of motion design workflow and to the design system with engineers Leverage and extend the use of the established design system, style guide, patterns and assets in UX analysis, solutions, and deliverables Embrace A/B testing to understand which design solutions best engage users Mentor and contribute to the wider UX community when possible Requirements
4+ years of UX design and motion design experience Mastery of Figma, creating and documenting components within a design system Experience with motion design and documenting motion patterns for development and guidelines Expertise with motion design software (Principle, Adobe After Effects) Ability to adopt new software/tech to improve customer experience (e.g., MidJourney, Runway) Understanding the difference between low-level CSS animations and higher-level motion design library components Understanding of broader design system and motion design communities with an interest in innovating systems, tooling, and workflows Strong visual craft and attention to detail; experience collaborating with UX leads, brand teams, product designers, engineers, and product managers Experience across products and platforms; mobile apps and financial services experience is a plus Experience with animation in code is an advantage Compensation and Benefits
