This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Head of Marketing in Massachusetts.
In this role, you will lead the marketing function for a high-growth, science-driven organization, building and scaling a demand engine that drives awareness, engagement, and high-quality opportunities across biotech and pharma audiences. You will define target segments, craft messaging that resonates with technical buyers, and implement multi-channel campaigns to fuel pipeline growth. As a strategic partner to the commercial team, you will translate scientific insights into compelling value propositions and commercial impact. This hands‑on role also involves content creation, product marketing, sales enablement, and team development. You will have the opportunity to shape the marketing foundation of a rapidly scaling company while contributing directly to revenue growth and brand authority.
Accountabilities
Develop and refine ideal customer profiles (ICPs), segmentation strategies, and buyer personas to guide marketing initiatives
Build and execute multi-channel demand generation campaigns, including digital, email, events, content, and partnerships
Establish and manage marketing performance metrics, attribution, and reporting to optimize pipeline generation and conversion
Partner with Sales to create field‑ready collateral, messaging sequences, and sales enablement tools
Lead content strategy and thought leadership, translating scientific workflows and data into compelling narratives
Own product marketing for new features, conducting competitive analysis, market research, and voice‑of‑customer initiatives
Manage, mentor, and scale the marketing team, including internal contributors and external contractors
Requirements
5–10+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally targeting biotech/pharma audiences or scientific software/tools/data
Proven track record in building predictable demand generation engines
Strong product marketing instincts, translating technical concepts into commercial value
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft credible, clear messaging for scientific audiences
Experience partnering closely with Sales and owning pipeline/revenue outcomes
Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution capabilities
Nice‑to‑Have: Life sciences background, experience marketing SaaS or scientific platforms, familiarity with biotech/pharma buying cycles, experience with PLG or usage‑based products
