Overview
The Buildings Division provides design services to both public agencies and private corporations. Current projects include public transit terminals and transportation maintenance facilities; municipal buildings such as public work facilities; and light commercial / retail. Other potential projects include correctional facilities, law enforcement, public health, and both K-12 and higher education buildings.
Responsibilities / Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have skills with AutoCAD, REVIT, hydraulic calculations, specification writing, familiarity with applicable building codes, cost estimating and other mechanical engineering tasks.
- LEED AP, CPD, or PE certifications are preferred but not required.
- Assisting, supervising or mentoring team members and delivering timely feedback and recognition to others.
- Maintain strong client relations as it pertains to project deliverables and repeat business.
- Presenting technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience
- Candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or credential such as CPD (Certified in plumbing design).
- Successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience designing a wide variety of facilities for industrial, educational, institutional and governmental projects.
- MA PE is preferred but not required.
- Experience with plumbing systems (Sanitary, Storm, Domestic Water, Natural Gas) is required. Fire Protection systems and fire standpipes are a plus.
- Focused experience with industrial projects, state agency projects, and/or local municipal projects is a plus.
- Good planning, organizational and communication skills are necessary for success. Strong REVIT skills are preferred.
Compensation
$109,771.86 - $146,362.48
