We are seeking a skilled Senior Civil CAD Designer to contribute to a diverse range of civil, environmental, and structural engineering projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers, planners, scientists, and landscape architects to produce high-quality design deliverables. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in CAD design with strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to mentor junior staff. You will work on complex projects, translating engineering concepts into construction-ready plans while supporting quality control and innovation. Accountabilities
Collaborate with engineers, scientists, planners, and landscape architects to develop CAD designs and project deliverables.
Prepare construction plan drawings, grading plans, earthwork volumes, and pipeline layouts.
Review and incorporate redline edits, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
Provide mentorship and training to junior team members and new staff.
Conduct quality control checks on assigned tasks and participate in client needs analyses.
Independently execute complex or novel assignments, developing improved techniques and procedures as needed.
Requirements
10+ years of professional experience using Autodesk Civil 3D for civil engineering design.
Proficiency in managing redline edits using Bluebeam and/or Adobe Acrobat.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience in environmental, engineering, or natural resources consulting.
Familiarity with MicroStation and ArcGIS is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong collaborative mindset.
Detail-oriented, quick learner, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
