$60.00/yr - $65.00/yr Responsibilities
Serve as the Lead Designer for United’s Customer UX team, driving design excellence and strategic vision. Set and communicate design direction for complex, multi-platform digital projects aligned with business goals and user needs. Mentor and develop junior and mid-level designers, fostering talent growth and maintaining high design standards. Lead cross-functional collaboration, managing relationships with stakeholders, product managers, and engineering leaders. Oversee the design of sophisticated omnichannel user journeys, ensuring consistency and excellence across platforms (web, mobile, emerging). Define and establish design principles, standards, and governance models to guide scalable and high‑quality design solutions. Direct prototyping and validation initiatives, leveraging user research and testing to inform design decisions. Champion the evolution of United’s design system, contributing advanced patterns and governance for design consistency. Stay current with emerging UI trends, tools, and technologies; evaluate and implement new approaches as needed. Advocate for inclusive design, applying WCAG accessibility standards to digital experiences. Present design work and strategy to senior leadership and executives, influencing key decisions. Balance user advocacy with business objectives and technical constraints in a fast‑paced, complex environment. Manage multiple complex projects and teams simultaneously, ensuring strategic alignment and attention to detail. Seniority Level
