Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Direct and manage all aspects of the firm's marketing activities, working closely with firm leadership to develop and execute marketing, business development and communications plans for the firm and its practice groups
Develop marketing programs for multiple channels, including the firm website, social media, client and prospect communications, sponsorships and advertisements, collateral material and media relations
Assist in the creation and preparation of proposals and RFP response
Assist in developing individual partner business development plans, identifying core strategies and goals
Work with the practice groups and their leaders to drive consistent, client-focused marketing and communication strategies
Assist with the writing, editing and distribution of internal and external communications, including intranet content, newsletters, client alerts, articles and news items
Manage the firm's social media platforms, and coach lawyers and practice groups on best practices
Plan and manage marketing, networking and business development events to ensure timely, cost-effective and professional execution
Identify and pursue opportunities to elevate the firm’s brand and individual lawyer recognition, organically and with respected, third‑party publishers
Prepare and distribute press releases, website news items, firm news and other client-facing communications
Create and deploy effective internal communication tools, highlighting business development opportunities and successes
Assist in coordinating firm events and special projects, as needed
Identify and develop relationships with media outlets within the firm's regional locations and practice areas
Identify and manage outsourced service providers to ensure seamless support of the firm’s marketing and business development initiatives
Requirements
Minimum of five years’ broad experience in legal or other professional services marketing and business development
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills and an ability to develop and pursue strategic initiatives
A customer service mindset, grounded in professionalism and a positive attitude
Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize competing deadlines
Ability to bring creativity and innovation to all aspects of the role
Position is eligible for hybrid work schedule.
