We’re looking for an excellent communications leader to join our team and drive comprehensive communications strategies for an executive leader within the Retail Bank & Premium Card Products businesses. The person who joins our team will be responsible for developing, executing, maintaining, and iterating on a communications strategy that connects the leader, their leadership team, and their team of associates to Enterprise partners and bold business goals.

This person will sit on the central Banking & Premium Products chief of staff team. Communicators on our team develop and implement internal communications that connect leaders and their teams to the top‑of‑house strategy, directly supporting business programs and initiatives and cultivating the best associate experience possible.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a communications strategy that helps build the executive leader’s brand internally and externally and brings the team’s narratives to life.

Curate engaging experiences including leadership gatherings, all‑employee meetings, digital/video storytelling, and special events.

Partner with other executive communicators and chiefs of staff to plan and prepare effective, thoughtful, and engaging internal communications.

Lead change‑management communications when necessary.

Draft leader talking points and review presentations.

Provide counsel on communicating business strategy, elevating leadership profiles, managing issues, and implementing corporate initiatives.

Evaluate performance of communications based on real‑time metrics and KPIs; recommend refinements to strategy, messaging, and feedback mechanisms.

Collaborate with internal partners to advance the best interests of the business and its employees.

What We’re Looking For

Strong business acumen, customer orientation, and proven track record of collaborative work relationships.

Excellent judgment and ability to work autonomously.

Exceptional writing and storytelling skills.

Ability to distill complex content into clear, concise, engaging communications.

Experience managing issues, crisis communications, and organizational change communications.

Outstanding time‑management and organizational skills, consistently executing multiple, competing activities and complex projects to high quality, on‑time completion.

Highly motivated, eager to learn and become an expert on the business to better inform communications strategy and deliverables.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.

At least 5 years of experience developing and implementing integrated communication strategies to drive organizational change and create feedback loops between leaders and subordinates.

At least 5 years of experience partnering with C‑suite executives on communications that support organizational objectives.

At least 5 years of experience managing multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, writing, or public relations.

2+ years of experience in financial services, technology, or another highly regulated industry.

Compensation : McLean, VA: $126,700 – $144,600; Richmond, VA: $115,200 – $131,500. Salary ranges vary by location.
