Position Overview
DTK Stone Works is looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Consultant to join our team in Wheeling, IL. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about design, enjoys working with customers, and thrives in a consultative sales environment. As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the selection process, understanding their needs, and providing expert recommendations on stone products and services. You will play a key role in driving sales, building relationships, and contributing to the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Sales
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance on stone products and design solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, interior designers, architects, and home builders.
- Conduct showroom consultations, guiding customers through product selections that align with their project needs.
- Identify customer needs, offer tailored solutions, and close sales to achieve revenue targets.
- Provide accurate and competitive sales quotations and follow up on proposals.
Lead Management & Business Development
- Proactively reach out to potential clients through networking, referrals, and inbound inquiries.
- Follow up on leads, appointments, and ongoing projects to nurture relationships and generate repeat business.
- Work closely with marketing to support promotional efforts, including showroom events and product showcases.
Order Coordination & Customer Satisfaction
- Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Address customer concerns or issues professionally, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Follow up after job completion to maintain customer relationships and encourage referrals.
Industry Knowledge & Professional Growth
- Stay updated on the latest trends in the stone industry, interior design, and home construction.
- Continuously enhance product knowledge and sales techniques to improve customer experience and sales performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the stone, construction, interior design, or related industries.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a consultative sales approach.
- Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into customized solutions.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to grow within the industry.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Hub Spot is preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
