Position Overview

DTK Stone Works is looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Consultant to join our team in Wheeling, IL. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about design, enjoys working with customers, and thrives in a consultative sales environment. As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the selection process, understanding their needs, and providing expert recommendations on stone products and services. You will play a key role in driving sales, building relationships, and contributing to the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Sales

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance on stone products and design solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, interior designers, architects, and home builders.
  • Conduct showroom consultations, guiding customers through product selections that align with their project needs.
  • Identify customer needs, offer tailored solutions, and close sales to achieve revenue targets.
  • Provide accurate and competitive sales quotations and follow up on proposals.

Lead Management & Business Development

  • Proactively reach out to potential clients through networking, referrals, and inbound inquiries.
  • Follow up on leads, appointments, and ongoing projects to nurture relationships and generate repeat business.
  • Work closely with marketing to support promotional efforts, including showroom events and product showcases.

Order Coordination & Customer Satisfaction

  • Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
  • Coordinate with production, logistics, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Address customer concerns or issues professionally, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
  • Follow up after job completion to maintain customer relationships and encourage referrals.

Industry Knowledge & Professional Growth

  • Stay updated on the latest trends in the stone industry, interior design, and home construction.
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge and sales techniques to improve customer experience and sales performance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the stone, construction, interior design, or related industries.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a consultative sales approach.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into customized solutions.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to grow within the industry.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Hub Spot is preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
