Vice President, Sales and Marketing - Healthcare Portfolio
The Vice President of Sales and Marketing will lead a Leon Healthcare Partners (LHP's) Portfolio Company's national growth strategy across all outpatient clinics and service lines. This individual will oversee referral development, manage regional Business Development Representatives (BDRs), and build strong partnerships with primary care groups, hospitals, treatment centers, and other community stakeholders. In parallel, this role will develop and execute Portfolio Company’s marketing strategy to drive new patient demand across multiple specialty services. The VP will work closely with Intake and Admissions teams to ensure efficient referral conversion and a seamless patient onboarding experience.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee referral relationships with primary care providers, hospital systems, specialty facilities, schools, and community partners.
Lead, coach, and manage Business Development Representatives across all markets.
Develop territory plans, KPIs, and outreach strategies to drive patient volume.
Build referral development playbooks and standardized processes for all markets.
Create and execute marketing campaigns to drive new patient acquisition across clinic services and specialty programs
Partner with internal teams to refine messaging, digital strategy, social presence, and community branding.
Analyze marketing performance and optimize spend and channel strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Intake and Admissions leadership to improve referral-to-visit conversion rates.
Partner with Operations and Clinical leadership to align market strategy with service capacity and new clinic launches.
Provide reporting on referral activity, lead pipeline, sales and marketing results, and market-level trends.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare sales, referral development, or growth leadership.
Demonstrated success managing multi-market and multi-state field teams.
Strong understanding of outpatient healthcare, referral networks, and high-velocity patient acquisition models.
Experience developing and executing marketing strategies that generate measurable growth.
Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Extensive travel required of up to 50% or more , dependent of the needs of the individual markets.
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid – minimum 3 days per week in office when not traveling)
