We’re looking for a Director of Social Media, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll be responsible for shaping and executing our social media strategy—advancing community engagement, reputation management and brand storytelling across all platforms. As part of one of the nation's premier pediatric health systems with a growing global presence, this leader ensures that every digital interaction reflects the organization's mission to improve pediatric health and well-being. You’ll lead a creative, data-driven team to deliver authentic stories, build trusted online communities and elevate the health system's voice as a national and international leader in pediatric care, innovation and advocacy.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Develops and implements a forward-looking social media strategy that supports enterprise goals in reputation, brand awareness, thought leadership, and community engagement

Leads the direction, tone, and visual identity of all enterprise-level social channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)

Fosters authentic, two-way engagement with patients, families, staff, and communities through meaningful content and dialogue

Lead proactive social listening to identify emerging issues, public sentiment and opportunities for engagement

Oversees creation of emotionally resonant storytelling that showcases the health system’s patients, clinicians, staff, research and impact

Stays ahead of digital trends, technologies, and audience behaviors to ensure the organization is a social media leader

Leads development of an integrated editorial calendar that aligns social media activity with organizational priorities, awareness campaigns, and key events

Defines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) for engagement, reach, sentiment and conversion across platforms

Skills & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, journalism, or related field required

Master’s degree preferred

10 years of progressive experience in digital communications or social media management, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership role, required
