is partnering with a high‑growth, consumer‑facing organization to identify a
VP of Media & Performance Marketing
to lead and scale their customer acquisition and growth engine. This role sits at the center of revenue growth and will have ownership over the full acquisition funnel—from first touch through long‑term customer value. This is an opportunity to own a mission‑critical growth function, influence company‑wide strategy, and build a scalable acquisition engine with meaningful executive visibility.
Remote candidates (Eastern time zone preferred) or Hybrid candidates for New York, NY or Charlotte, NC offices will be considered.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Performance Marketing Leadership
Define and execute a comprehensive performance marketing roadmap aligned to company growth goals
Build, lead, and develop a best‑in‑class team spanning paid search, paid social, video, affiliate, display, and emerging channels
Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership, contributing to broader growth and go‑to‑market discussions
Establish clear success metrics centered on profitability, customer lifetime value, and scalable growth
Customer Acquisition & Channel Ownership
Own acquisition strategy across a diversified paid media mix (search, social, programmatic, video, native, affiliates, etc.)
Guide lifecycle and CRM‑driven acquisition efforts across email, SMS, and push channels to maximize retention and value
Manage and optimize a significant paid media budget, reallocating investment based on performance trends and ROI
Identify new growth opportunities through testing, partnerships, and channel innovation
Measurement, Optimization & Governance
Partner closely with analytics and finance to define attribution models, incrementality testing, and performance benchmarks
Lead a rigorous experimentation framework across creative, audiences, bidding, and funnel optimization
Leverage automation, AI, and advanced tooling to drive efficiency and scale
Oversee marketing quality assurance to ensure campaigns are accurate, compliant, and brand‑aligned
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Brand, CRM, and Operations to deliver a cohesive customer experience
Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure regulatory and policy alignment
Work with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
REQUIREMENTS:
12+ years in performance marketing, digital acquisition, or growth roles
5‑7+ years experience in senior leadership level roles
Proven success managing and scaling large, multi‑channel paid media budgets
Experience operating in highly data‑driven, ROI‑focused environments
Familiarity with compliance‑heavy or regulated industries strongly preferred
Deep hands‑on knowledge of paid media platforms and affiliate ecosystems
Strong analytical orientation with comfort working closely with data and performance metrics
Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire high‑performing teams
Clear, confident communicator who can partner effectively with executives and cross‑functional stakeholders
Curious, experimental mindset with a history of testing, learning, and scaling winning strategies
