Our client is seeking a Creative Director who can translate a big‑picture creative vision into meaningful, day‑to‑day work across brand design, visual storytelling, and digital experiences.
This is a role for a creative leader with strong taste and cultural awareness; someone who inspires confident ideas, sharpens execution, and helps teams create work that feels both bold and intentional.
This position can be in DC or NYC for a hybrid 2‑days a week in‑office schedule.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and activate the creative vision set by senior leadership, ensuring alignment between strategic ambition and daily execution.
- Lead the creative process from concept through delivery, ensuring work reflects originality, clarity, and a distinct point of view.
- Champion creative risk‑taking and diverse storytelling, elevating both aesthetic and emotional impact across brands and platforms.
- Balance innovation with strategic purpose to deliver work that is both bold and on brand.
- Participate in high‑profile pitches and new business opportunities.
- Manage client projects from pitch to delivery across multiple clients.
- Oversee Design and Visual Media teams, setting high standards for taste, craft, and conceptual rigor.
- Partner closely with Account, Strategy, and Deployment leads to develop integrated, cross‑disciplinary concepts and deliverables.
- Serve as a trusted creative partner to clients.
- Maintain creative consistency and quality across all deliverables—digital, experiential, and visual—resulting in imaginative, relevant, and market‑leading work.
- Translate feedback into clear direction, guiding teams toward refined, impactful solutions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship across teams, including day‑to‑day oversight of Associate Creative Directors and Visual Media leadership.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of experience in creative leadership roles within agencies, studios, or brand environments.
- Proven ability to direct and inspire multidisciplinary teams across design, interactive, photography, and video.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, refined aesthetics, and storytelling range.
- Mastery of key creative tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.) and a deep understanding of digital‑first production.
- Exceptional communication, pitching, and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, cultural curiosity, and a collaborative spirit.
- Experience in real estate and/or hospitality is a plus.
