Endoscopic Technician Position at Providence Alaska Medical Center

Under supervision, the Endoscopy Technician safely performs endoscopic procedural assistance and ensures a safe environment. A variety of patient care duties include positioning, patient observation, taking vital signs, and other duties that assist the Registered Nurse. Under close supervision, technical endoscopic assistance to General Surgeons and Gastroenterologists as well as other Endoscopic providers and staff will be provided. Additional responsibilities include facilitating patient flow and transportation, stocking rooms, ordering supplies, answering phones, and performing a variety of clerical tasks. Position is Per-diem, 0.01 FTE, Day shifts, Hours Per Week as needed. Required Qualifications

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. 6 months of Endoscopy Procedure Technician experience. Preferred Qualifications

Coursework/Training: Completion of a certified nursing course, medical assistant course, or other related health care class. 1 year General clerical and patient care experience in a health care setting. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
