Confidential Jobs is hiring: Science Writer (Nutrition & Metabolic Health) - US
Confidential Jobs, Las Vegas, NV, US, 89105
A global leader in evidence-based nutrition and metabolic health is seeking a Science Writer to support strategic communication, product storytelling and scientific messaging across the business. This role sits at the intersection of marketing and science, helping translate complex concepts into clear, accurate and compelling content for a wide range of audiences.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer with a solid understanding of human physiology, nutrition and health sciences. They can interpret scientific information quickly, communicate it convincingly, and shape narratives that support brand, product and commercial objectives.
About the Role
You are a Science Writer who understands nutrition and metabolic health and, more importantly, can communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to non-scientific audiences.
This role is not academic writing and not regulatory documentation. Success here depends on your ability to translate science into compelling, readable content for general consumers, distributors and business audiences who do not have a science background.
The ideal candidate already writes publicly, through blogs, articles, newsletters, social media or published pieces and has demonstrated interest and skill in explaining science clearly, accurately and persuasively.
What You’ll Do
- Write clear, engaging, scientifically accurate content on nutrition, metabolism, health and related topics
- Translate research findings, mechanisms of action and product science into plain-language narratives
- Develop articles, educational pieces, blog content, presentations and internal reference materials
- Work closely with R&D, Marketing and Sales to ensure scientific consistency and clarity
- Review scientific literature and internal research and distill it into audience-ready messaging
- Adapt tone and depth for different audiences, from consumers to internal stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience writing for a general audience (e.g. blogs, articles, Substack, Medium, LinkedIn, published media, newsletters, podcasts with written components)
- Clear evidence of interest and skill in communicating science to non-scientists
- Strong understanding of nutrition, health, biology or related life sciences
- Ability to explain complicated subjects simply without oversimplifying or distorting the science
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
- Willingness to work hybrid in Las Vegas (relocation at candidate’s expense if required)
Nice to Have
- Background in nutrition, biochemistry, public health, biomedical science or related fields
- Experience writing about supplements, metabolism, longevity or wellness
- Marketing or content strategy exposure
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
What This Role Is Not
- Not purely academic or journal-style writing
- Not regulatory or submission-focused medical writing
- Not a cultural liaison or advisory role
- This is a communication role first, grounded in real scientific understanding.
When applying
Please share links to publicly available writing samples (blogs, articles, newsletters, social media posts, published work) where you explain scientific or health-related topics to a general audience.
