Position Type & Hours
- Student part‑time.
- 10‑15 hours per week.
Salary
- $17.95 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized writing tutoring across the curriculum.
- Assess student needs, set goals, and create plans for sessions.
- Document all consultations in the Writing Center online scheduling system.
- Conduct in‑class visits and promote Writing Center services to students.
- Lead workshops, peer‑review sessions, and special events for groups of students.
- Prepare after‑session reports and participate in bi‑weekly workshops and training sessions during the semester.
Qualifications
- Required: resume, cover letter, two academic writing samples.
- Preferred: letter of recommendation from a faculty member.
Additional Details
- Participation in staff meetings, training workshops, shift coverage, and other staff duties per staff handbook.
