A full-time contract opportunity is available for a skilled educator specializing in visual impairment support within a K-12 school setting in the San Jacinto area near Riverside, CA. This position spans a full semester and offers the chance to work closely with students requiring tailored instruction and support to succeed in their academic environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students across K-12 grades. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students visual and learning needs. Utilize Braille teaching methods and materials to enhance literacy skills where appropriate. Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure inclusive educational experiences. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records to support ongoing development. Participate in professional development and team meetings to stay informed on best practices. Desired Qualifications: Certification or significant experience as a teacher of visually impaired students. Proficiency in Braille instruction and adaptation of learning materials. Strong munication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and colleagues effectively. Familiarity with K-12 educational standards and strategies for inclusive teaching.
