This position, based in Watsonville, CA, offers a contract for the current school year focusing on delivering tailored instruction to meet the unique learning needs of visually impaired students and foster their academic growth and independence. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for visually impaired students aligned with K-12 curriculum standards Utilize specialized teaching methods and adaptive technologies to support learning and skill development Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly Provide training and resources to school staff on best practices for supporting visually impaired students Qualifications: Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience working with students across K-12 grade levels who have visual impairments Strong knowledge of assistive technologies and instructional strategies tailored to visually impaired learners Excellent munication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team mitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational atmosphere This contract role is a great option for those looking to impact students educational journeys by providing specialized support that empowers their success.
