A K-12 school in Arlington, TX is seeking qualified Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students with visual impairments throughout the entire contract school year (CSY). This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and services tailored to meet the unique needs of visually impaired learners, ensuring they have access to a prehensive and inclusive education. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction and evaluation for students with visual impairments in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Develop and implement specialized curriculum modifications and acmodations. Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote student success. Utilize assistive technology and adaptive equipment to enhance learning. Conduct functional vision assessments and remend appropriate interventions. Maintain detailed records and documentation related to student progress and services. Preferred Qualifications: Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) or equivalent licensing. Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments. Knowledge of braille, assistive technologies, and orientation and mobility concepts. Strong munication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively in a contract position for the full school year.
