Location: Huntersville, NC Position Type: Contract, Current School Year (CSY) Setting: Elementary School Key Responsibilities: Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students unique visual needs Deliver specialized instruction in Braille, orientation and mobility, and assistive technology Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student success Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly Provide training and resources to school staff to enhance understanding and inclusion of visually impaired students Desired Qualifications and Experience: Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or equivalent credentials Experience working with elementary-aged students with visual impairments Knowledge of assistive technology, Braille, and related instructional methodologies Strong munication and collaboration skills Ability to create a supportive and inclusive educational environment This contract role offers the chance to work closely with a dynamic school munity dedicated to inclusive education.
