This contract position, based in Salisbury, NC, offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic learning environment that prioritizes accessibility and individualized instruction. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction and specialized support to students who are visually impaired, ensuring access to the general curriculum. Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and specialists to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Utilize assistive technologies and adaptive teaching methods tailored to the needs of visually impaired students. Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Advocate for the needs of visually impaired students within the school munity. Qualifications/Desired Experience: Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments. Strong understanding of adaptive instructional strategies and assistive technologies.
