A K-12 school in Thomasville, NC is seeking an experienced teacher specializing in services for students who are visually impaired. This contract role runs for the current school year (CSY) and offers an opportunity to work closely with students requiring specialized instruction and support. Key Qualifications: Certification or licensure in Teaching Students with Visual Impairments or equivalent Experience working with visually impaired children across all K-12 grade levels Strong knowledge of instructional strategies and assistive technologies for visual impairments Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Effective munication skills with students, parents, and school staff Patience, adaptability, and mitment to student success Location: Thomasville, North Carolina K-12 educational setting Primary Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to students with visual impairments Collaborate with classroom teachers and multidisciplinary teams to integrate acmodations Develop and maintain up-to-date IEPs and progress reports Utilize assistive technology and materials adapted for visual accessibility Conduct assessments to monitor educational progress and needs Provide training and guidance to staff and families as needed This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the learning experience of visually impaired students within a supportive school environment.
