The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in developing and implementing instructional strategies tailored to the unique needs of visually impaired students, ensuring their academic success and independence. Key Qualifications: Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. Proven experience working with students who have visual impairments in a K-12 educational setting. Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive instructional materials. Strong munication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and related service providers. Ability to conduct assessments and create individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on visual impairment-related needs. Location:Based in High Point, NC, serving a dynamic K-12 student population. Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments. Assess students' visual functioning and develop appropriate educational strategies. Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and acmodations. Provide training to staff and parents on techniques and resources for visually impaired learners. Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly to meet learning goals.
