Role Description
This is a full-time, fully on-site or hybrid role for an Urban Designer located in Baltimore, MD, with 10-15 years' experience. The Urban Designer will be responsible for supporting and/or leading (depending on experience level) urban design and planning projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and guiding project vision and strategy. Day-to-day tasks include developing comprehensive and innovative design concepts, preparing detailed plans, and coordinating with planners, architects, and landscape architects. The role also encompasses presenting ideas to stakeholders, adhering to or managing project schedules and deliverables, and participating in client meetings.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Urban Design and Planning
Proficient knowledge and experience in Urban Design principles
Experience in Architecture and/or Landscape Architecture, including sustainable and innovative solutions
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in and/or lead interdisciplinary teams
Proven ability to work on and/or manage complex projects, meet deadlines, and present to diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling software
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and/or Urban Design and a portfolio
Licensure or Certification (AIA, AICP, ASLA, LEED-AP, etc.)
