Overview
The Instructional Designer & Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging learning solutions that support workforce development and organizational goals. This role combines instructional design expertise with technical development skills to create interactive eLearning, instructor‑led training materials, and blended learning experiences. The position collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy, compliance, and alignment with the organization's learning strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Apply instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE) to create effective learning experiences.
Develop multimedia‑rich eLearning modules using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, or Adobe Captivate.
Design instructor‑led training guides, job aids, and assessments for diverse audiences.
Manage and maintain content in the Learning Management System (LMS), including troubleshooting and reporting.
Collaborate with SMEs to translate technical content into learner‑friendly formats.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards in all training materials.
Evaluate training effectiveness using data and feedback; implement continuous improvements.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in instructional design and learning development.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's
Specialized Degree: Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or related field
Certificates: CPTD or equivalent certification
Years of Experience: 5+
Field of Expertise: Instructional Design, eLearning Development, LMS Administration
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Education Level: Master's
Specialized Degree: Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, Adult Education or a related field.
Certificates: CPTD or equivalent certification
Years of Experience: 5+
Preferred Field of Expertise: Advanced eLearning tools, project management, graphic design
Additional Preferred Skills, Licenses, & Certificates
Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills; proficiency in SCORM/xAPI standards
