We're seeking a visionary leader for our latest topical acne treatment across both professional (HCP) and consumer channels. This role blends scientific acumen, creative storytelling, and commercial rigor to drive brand adoption, patient engagement, and market growth. The Director, Marketing will report to the Executive Director Dermatology Marketing.
You will be the strategic owner of the brand's positioning, messaging, and promotional execution shaping how dermatology HCPs and consumers perceive and interact with the product. From clinical data visualization to DTC focused messaging, you'll orchestrate a seamless brand experience across all touchpoints.
It will be critical that this commercial leader fully understand how to navigate a challenging market access environment as well as significant experience in patient services and market access pull‑through. This strong commercial leader will be expected to bring a vision to offer better outcomes for all stakeholders in the acne space and will be required to engage with and inspire a cross‑functional team to deliver on the key strategic imperatives.
This position has a broad functional responsibility and high visibility to executive level decision makers. The ideal candidate must have excellent internal communications skills and is collaborative, organized, agile and visionary.

Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Positioning
Develop and refine brand identity, value proposition, and messaging hierarchy for dual audiences
Lead annual planning process, to develop and deliver on a strong brand vision
Translate clinical data into compelling narratives for both HCPs and consumers
Lead integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, social and in‑office channels
Collaborate with agencies on creative direction, media planning and performance optimization
Partner with Medical Affairs and Sales to develop HCP‑facing materials (detail aids, MOA visuals, peer to peer decks)
Drive KOL engagement and support conference symposia (AAD, SDPA, etc)
Help shape DTC strategy including influencer partnerships, social media, and branded content
Oversee digital strategy, including website content, SEO/SEM, and social media presence to drive brand awareness and patient requests for treatment
Lead development of patient education tools, testimonials, and skincare lifestyle integration
Collaborate with Regulatory, Legal, Market Access, and Sales Training to ensure alignment and compliance
Monitor market trends, competitive intelligence, and voice‑of‑customer insights to inform strategy
Own brand KPIs including awareness, usage, adherence and ROI
Analyze campaign performance and be able to pivot strategies based on market results
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Marketing discipline preferred. MBA/Masters preferred.
Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical marketing experience required
Experience with market access and patient services required
Proven success in launching or growing topical therapies or skincare products
Experience with brand strategy/positioning/planning, product commercialization required
Experience with digital‑first campaigns and omnichannel engagement
Ability to lead within a complex matrix organization required
Understanding of FDA promotional guidelines and MLR processes
Experience in acne therapeutic space preferred
Compensation and Benefits The range of starting base pay for this role is $180 K–$246 K. Actual starting pay will be based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education and location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for participation in either (i) our annual bonus program or (ii) a sales incentive plan. This position requires 3 days per week in our Bridgewater, NJ office.
