Opportunity We are seeking a full‑time Senior Interior Designer for our Kansas City studio location. In this role you’ll lead project design, oversee the interiors team, and manage client communication. You’ll drive design vision, create concepts and documentation, and ensure quality from concept through final execution. Work closely with leadership to strengthen the firm’s reputation through thought leadership, business development, and strategic planning.
What You’ll Do
Lead and mentor junior associates to develop innovative, client‑focused, functional and aesthetic design concepts.
Manage interiors projects and teams, including client communications, timelines, and budgets.
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, leading presentations and maintaining strong relationships.
Ensure design compliance with applicable codes, accessibility standards and regulations.
Integrate sustainable and energy‑efficient strategies into material selection and applications.
Oversee the production and execution of high‑quality construction documents and detailed drawings, conducting thorough quality‑control checks throughout the project.
Coordinate directly with contractors, architects, and engineers to ensure successful design execution and timely completion.
Support business development through networking, proposal development and RFP responses.
What You Bring
Professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Interior Architecture.
Certification as a licensed professional, preferred NCIDQ.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in interior design and related fields.
Experience working on high‑design projects.
Strong skills in client and team communication, design, and consultant coordination.
Ability to create and communicate new ideas independently and collaboratively.
Thrives in fast‑paced, interdisciplinary environments and can lead or mentor multiple teams throughout project phases.
