Overview Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee‑owned company, is seeking a Group Technical Director for the National Technical Intelligence Group (NTIG). The position requires a senior technical leader to guide the NTIG’s technical direction, support programs, mature capabilities, and manage collaboration across sectors to meet national security customers’ needs.

Location Bellbrook, OH

Responsibilities

Perform scientific analysis of data from non‑traditional ISR sources, developing innovative methods to extract valuable information from datasets with inherent quality limitations.

Develop and validate sensor collection techniques and AI/ML algorithms for characterization across multiple phenomenologies.

Work with NTIG Ops Managers to identify new opportunities for Internal Research and Development (IRAD) necessary for the technical growth areas.

Assist NTIG Ops capture and proposal solution architects in ensuring comprehensive technical solutions are identified, matured on time, and consistently represented across proposal volumes.

Develop and execute technical maturation strategies that integrate current capabilities, target future capabilities based on customer mission analysis, and bridge current and future technical gaps.

Identify and develop strategic relationships with current and prospective customers within the DoD, IC, and other national security agencies.

Identify and develop strategic teaming opportunities across the defense, intelligence, and commercial industrial base, aligned to the group and sector vision.

Required Skills

PhD in Physics.

Proven ability to provide technical leadership to medium or large organizations.

Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate within a multi‑disciplined team.

Demonstrated written and oral communication proficiency for complex technical concepts, including journal articles, conference papers, research documentation, and presentations.

Experience producing strategic technical documentation and plans to establish technology maturation strategies, roadmaps, and operational concepts.

Experience managing, mentoring, and growing technical personnel, and providing career advancement advice to leadership and employees.

Active TS/SCI clearance.

Required Experience

Minimum 15+ years’ experience supporting the DoD and/or IC community.

Matter expert (SME) for OPIR sensor R&D and GEOINT mission area.

Experience writing and/or reviewing technical proposals to ensure solutions meet desired government requirements.

Experience developing innovative technical solutions to meet DoD and/or IC requirements.

Desired Qualifications

20+ years’ experience supporting the DoD and/or IC community.

Post‑graduate professional certificate in a relevant technical field.

Proven knowledge of defense, intelligence, and commercial markets.

Relationships across defense, intelligence, and commercial markets.

Demonstrated proficiency coordinating internal and external investment to establish innovative, mature capabilities aligned with customer mission areas and solicitations.

Experience with Department of Defense customers such as AFRL, NASIC, NSIC, MSIC, NGIC, ONI, DARPA, NRO, Defense Research Laboratories, MDA.
