Technical Editor/Proposal Coordinator with Security Clearance
Primary function: coordinate, edit, and prepare proposals for submission. Self‑directed, works independently under time constraints and deadlines. Receives direction from Program Managers and collaborates with technical and administrative teams.
Responsibilities
Edit proposals, technical reports, and presentations for grammar, clarity, format, consistency, and security markings.
Format proposals, technical reports, and presentations.
Create Microsoft Word templates using Styles for proposals or reports.
Shred solicitations and prepare compliance matrices.
Prepare proposal briefing templates by inserting PWS/SOW requirements into briefing slides and templates for each solicitation.
Schedule and facilitate color reviews for each solicitation.
Interface with Contracts, Security, group leads, and IT personnel as necessary.
Attend meetings to capture minutes vital to proposal scheduling.
Ensure proposal compliance.
Maintain proposal library and reference materials.
Maintain and update proposal planning documents and the status of awarded tasks as needed.
Perform administrative functions as necessary.
Assist in designing and developing training and communication documents.
Required Skills
Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Engineering, or a related field.
High-level attention to detail.
Strong proofreading and editing skills.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Required Experience
Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Must demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism while interacting with diverse groups.
Desired Qualifications
Secret, or Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.
Government proposal or grant writing experience a plus.
Shipley Proposal Development experience.
Adobe CC Suite experience.
Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint Online, and Teams expertise.
Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style.
APMP Membership, Foundation, or Certification a plus.
